COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot at a home in Marco Island Tuesday.
Police and fire crews responded to a home in the 100 Block of First Ave in Marco Island around 7:55 p.m. and set up a perimeter.
A woman was taken to the hospital but deputies said it is unclear what her condition is at this time, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office..
CCSO used an aviation unit to help search for the suspect but as of 9:27 p.m. were no longer using the technology.
Deputies did not say whether a suspect has been identified or is under arrest.
No further information was immediately available. This is a developing story.
