CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A new Aldi grocery store is set to open in Cape Coral this spring.
Creighton Construction & Development took over the empty lot near Santa Barbara Boulevard and Veterans Parkway located next to the Wawa.
A half-built structure has stood in the lot since 2019. Lucky’s Marketplace was set to open in the spring of 2021 before it pulled out of the project.
Cape Coral city officials tell NBC2 people can expect a lot of growth in 2022 after receiving a record amount of business permit applications in 2021.
Officials say people can look forward to more shopping options for groceries and many opportunities for new jobs.
