LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A driver said he was driving on Sunshine Boulevard in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday morning when a piece of metal flew off a truck and smashed into his windshield.
Stephen Lee said he was able to safely pull over to the side of the road. He said a deputy responded and took down a report.
Lee said he’s thankful his son wasn’t in the car with him when this happened. He said this incident easily could have led to an accident.
“Anybody that’s carrying a big load or something should know that everything should be covered,” said Lee.
His vehicle is now in the shop being repaired.
