CAPE CORAL, Fla. — After 27 years of being inseparable, Alexis and Morgan Clare thought it was time they part ways.
The twin sisters from Cape Coral went to the same high school, college, grad school and medical school.
They planned to do their medical residency separately, but fate has kept them together.
The sisters were both matched into the general surgery residency program at Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan.
“It is kind of funny because we have followed each other throughout our education and it just seemed fitting it would happen again in residency,” Morgan said.
Morgan and Clare received their medical degrees from Kansas City University – Joplin.
They plan to begin their residency this summer.
“You always have someone there who’s going to have your back,” Alexis said. “Maybe one day we’ll open a private practice together, who knows?” Morgan added.
