COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy was arrested by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) after a deputy spotted the teen driving a stolen vehicle near Collier Boulevard and U.S. 41.
Angel Santana, 14, was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 2, and is facing a felony charge of grand theft auto.
According to CCSO, a deputy spotted the vehicle that was reported stolen the day before while on patrol. The deputy then followed Santana into a nearby community that had only one entrance and exit.
The deputy then deployed stop sticks at the exit to prevent Santana from leaving the area. Santana was arrested after the traffic stop.
