NAPLES, Fla. – A 23-year-old Naples man was arrested after holding the gun that shot and killed his girlfriend.
Early Sunday morning, a woman had called the Collier County Sheriff’s Office regarding a shooting.
The woman heard a gunshot and found the victim on her floor bleeding when she went to investigate. The victim’s boyfriend, Brandon Sincere, was also in the room, cradling the victim’s body.
He told the other woman that the shooting was an accident.
Deputies and emergency services arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Neither the 911 caller nor an additional roommate heard any arguing, fighting, or other dispute before the gunshot.
Deputies stated that since Sincere showed a “reckless disregard for human life” while playing with a loaded firearm in the presence of another person, Sincere was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter with a firearm.
He was taken to the Naples Jail Center.
