CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The City of Cape Coral is sending a warning about toxic blue-green algae present at Jaycee Park.
According to officials, blue-green algae has been spotted in numerous locations in the Caloosahatchee River.

Pet waste, grass clippings and fertilizers with phosphorus or nitrogen in the city’s water can intensify the algal blooms.
