COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — It became evident pretty quickly that Desira St. Victor was up to no good on Friday night.
While aimlessly walking around an East Naples apartment complex parking lot, the 33-year-old felon had what appeared to be a t-shirt draped over his head. St. Victor nonchalantly surveyed the parking lot with quick glances before leaning up against a nearby car.
After a quick check of his cell phone, St. Victor was on the move — and he wasted little time. Approaching two vehicles in the parking lot, St. Victor discreetly tried to open the door handle to the vehicle he had his back to, but no luck — the door was locked. Perhaps frustrated and a bit antsy, he tried to open the door of the vehicle right in front of him, but again the burglar struck out.
St. Victor refused to give up and tried to open the door of a third nearby vehicle, but another unsuccessful attempt meant it may be time to move on from the apartment complex that just so happened to capture his devious acts on camera.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, St. Victor’s night of crime continued at another area where he stole guns from an unlocked vehicle. Detectives were able to recover the firearms and arrest him for the break-in.
St. Victor has had five previous burglary arrests in Collier County. This time, he is charged with armed burglary of a conveyance, grand theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
