MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – A building was evacuated in Marco Island after an explosion went off in the lobby Monday morning.
According to Marco Island Fire Rescue, around 4 a.m. officials responded to the scene at at 980 Cape Marco Dr.
The explosion was the result of an electrical system failure.
Marco Island Fire Rescue states the building has been evacuated and there were no reported injuries. The condominium lobby sustained significant damage.
The City of Marco Island Fire Rescue and Police Department are investigating the incident.
