COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — At least two people were injured in a crash on Sand Piper Drive and Carica Road in Pine Ridge Estates, officials said.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the single car crash around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The roadway near the crash was briefly blocked by emergency vehicles.
One of the two people involved in the crash was airlifted to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The car drove off the road, hit a sign, went through a row of bushes and stopped just feet away from a home.
