LEE COUNTY, Fla.– Drugs were Joel Seda’s career. He had the ledger and had the scale to weigh the drugs. He had invested too much.
When the Cape Coral Police Department knocked on his door to search his home, he knew what he had to do.
He grabbed whatever drugs he could hold and ran to the bathroom. One by one his drugs flushed down the drain. But now, he had to leave. He walked away from his life’s work in handcuffs.
But Seda is no stranger to jail. He was booked into the Lee County jail on 26 different occasions– including this one.
The Cape Coral Police Department arrested the 41-year-old man for selling drugs in an undercover investigation, according to police reports.
Police went undercover to buy drugs from Seda four times before searching his home on January 10.
In the investigation, undercover police bought crack cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to police reports.
The undercover officers met Seda at 1700 Northwest 2nd Place on two separate occasions. Once, Seda drove up to his client’s vehicle in a silver scooter and reached inside to give the bag of methamphetamine.
Undercover officers bought drugs from Seda at his home on two other occasions.
The undercover drug deals happened from December 21 to January 4.
When police made the search of Seda’s home at 1421 Northwest Juanita Place, police found a ledger of drug sales, 0.1 grams of methamphetamine on the kitchen counter, 9.4 grams of marijuana, a baggie with a white substance inside the toilet, cell phones inside the toilet and other drug paraphernalia.
Seda was arrested and charged with evidence tampering, resisting/obstruction, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
