FORT MYERS, Fla. — Dozens of construction crews were on scene at Colonial Boulevard and the I-75 exit after a dump truck crash took out a street light on Monday morning.
Drivers are not happy about most lanes being closed.
“It went down from three to one overnight and that is probably what caused it,” said one nervous driver, Tim Delaney.
Crews were fixing the traffic light and the concrete pole all day.
Anyone driving through to get to I-75 or to shop at the forum has felt the pain.
“You got Lowes and you got Home Depot and Walmart, so we do a lot of the shopping there but now I go over to Bonita Springs,” said Delaney.
Construction will be going on for weeks.
“Oh h*** nah, it’s always like this from 4 to 7, down this road it will take like an hour,” said Jay Will.
